MARIA REMER, LPC, RPT

Rachel Coliron - Care Coordinator

Hi I’m Maria! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and hold a certification as a Registered Play Therapist™. I work with individuals ages 4-18, along with their caregivers. As an RPT™, I have had extensive education, training and supervision in the field of play therapy. Like adults, children can have difficult times and can benefit from counseling. However, the approach used with young children may look quite a bit different than the ones used with an adult. Play therapy uses the language that children know best- PLAY- to assist with communicating things that they may be unable to communicate with words. To learn more about play therapy and its effectiveness, you can visit the Association for Play Therapy at a4pt.org.

Hi, I’m Anastasia, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker working with children, adolescents, and young adults ages 10–25. I help clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, anger, self-esteem concerns, and life transitions.

I’m especially passionate about supporting teens and young adults as they prepare for their next stage of life, while also helping younger clients develop emotional skills and confidence. I collaborate with parents to build supportive routines at home that reinforce progress outside of sessions.

I am trained in EMDR and Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT) and use a trauma-informed, client-centered approach. While I value evidence-based practices, I recognize that therapy is not one-size-fits-all. I strive to meet each client where they are and tailor my approach to support meaningful, lasting growth.

I enjoy helping parents/caregivers and their children with childhood behaviors including ADHD, Trauma, anxiety, anger issues, oppositional/defiant behaviors, peer relationships and other childhood difficulties. It is important that children get the help they need because they are our future!
